The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
